Had a chance to work on another interesting project with Tendril. This time it was Microsoft brand film. Worked closely with Chris Bahry and the process went smoothly. Schedule was very tight so we had to move quick. First visual task was to show various office spaces filled with key visual color relevant to the core Office apps. My suggestion was to show all the colors in one space in more graphic way - projecting color shapes. So key color can bleed a bit more but other shapes with more sharper edges. Next we had to design the "Skeleton grid" that is revealed by the traveling light. That was quick as Tendril had curves animation ready for the look development process. Light projection worked quite well. Next task was to visualize Office apps that are being shaped by the grid. Proper lighting + good texture selection and a bit of SSS always delivers delicious look! After style frames were done Tendril team took over to animate and do the final renders. I hope we will nail more cool projects in 2019 Tendril!
